When I get asked this, here’s what I consider at an initial consultation:
👉 have you had any braces/Invisalign before or recently?👉 are the gaps big or small?
👉 what are the tooth-size proportions currently?
👉 can we visualise the results after Invisalign V just bonding and show you?

The composite was over 7 years old and she wanted it removing and replacing.

✨ Smile transformation using fixed braces ✨

This patient had previously had fixed braces as a child, but the teeth had moved. She had a sloped smile (called a cant) , a narrow arch and tilted canines.

By treating her with a fixed brace over 12 months it allowed for us to extrude some of the front teeth to improve the cant and align the gum levels of the front 4 teeth, widen the upper arch and correct the alignment of the teeth.

There was some slight shaping of the edges of the upper 6 teeth after treatment but no composite bonding in this case. A completely natural result 😍
